DLC

Basically, DLC combines the proprtties of diamond and graphite. Some of the toughest coatings in the world makes for ideal applications for golf clubs as they are extremely hard, smooth and thin.

Chrome/Nickel

All chrome and nickel is a technique of electroplating a thin layer of chromium or nickel onto a surface for decrotive and provides a corrosive resistence and increase surface hardness.
